NZQA Qualifications - Level 5 and 4
New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5
Designed for busy professionals, the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services provides specialist knowledge and skills in investment, financial advice, general insurance, personal risk (life & health) residential property lending, banking personal lending or trustees services. This programme is a fully supported distance learning programme.
Enrol in the full programme and become an AFA or alternatively on a module by module basis. Professional IQ Colleges programme is flexible and designed with you in mind.
The newly designed structure for the qualification makes it easier for you to gain your qualification no matter what part of the industry you work in. The programme meet all the regulatory requirements for AFA's and is recommended for RFA's

Existing National Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 students can either complete the current certificate or discuss with the College options to transition to the new Qualification. You can see a comparison between the old and new Qualifications here.

Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services
The new Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services is intended for those who are in an insurance support/administration role or who are new to insurance, or banking (less than two years' experience). It is intended as a progressive pathway to a Level 5 programme.
- An Overview of the Financial Services Environment in New Zealand
- Regulations and Compliance
- Applying the Advice Process within the New Zealand Insurance and Banking Industries
Participants can then choose between
- The Insurance strand, or
- The Banking strand.
The Current level 4 Qualification unit standards are available for purchase if you are nearing completion.
