KWT Level 5 Scholarship 2020/21

Professional IQ College is pleased to announce that applications for the Kerry Wilson Trust Scholarship 2020/21  opened on 7th September, 2020 and will be awarded for the Level 5, General Insurance full programme. This scholarship is open to staff of IBANZ Members.

Applications must be received at Professional IQ College by 9th October 2020.

Elmarie van den Berg

Elmarie van den Berg started out in the insurance industry 6 years ago as a Personal Assistant to a Senior Broker at Omni Insurance Brokers. During this time she gained the trust of clients and colleagues and her role has developed into that of a Risk Advisor. Elmarie says she enjoys the day-to-day challenges of brokering and the many relationships that come with the role.

Having gained plenty of on-job experience Elmarie is now eager to learn more about the financial services sector and believes that the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 will enable her to increase her understanding and industry knowledge to enable her to be a more confident broker.

Stephanie Gower

Stephanie Gower has worked in the insurance industry for 14 years in both the Fire & General and Health/Life/Disability fields and is currently employed as a Commercial Broker/Health Insurance Specialist for Commercial & Rural Insurance in Alexandra.

Although Stephanie says she has been in the same role for 5 years the role itself has grown and changed giving her opportunity to extend her skills and knowledge into project management and implementation of systems and writing compliance procedures for the Commercial & Rural team. She is the most senior staff member in her current role.

Stephanie believes that obtaining the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 will provide her with an incredible opportunity which she will give her the tools she needs to increase her knowledge and upskill, thereby becoming a more effective and efficient leader for her team.
