The Government Centre for Dispute Resolution (GCDR) is committed to growing a best practice dispute resolution system. It is developing a set of tools to measure best practice and the maturity of the dispute resolution system. It is important to GCDR that these tools are designed and developed in collaboration with the people and organisations that make up the dispute resolution system, as well as those people who use the system to resolve their disputes. The purpose of the model standards project is to develop system standards, identify key organisational capabilities and create a maturity framework to assess the performance of the dispute resolution system against best practice.

The GCDR have issued a discussion document.  Trevor Slater who is on the advisory committee for this project will take you through the consultation document and explain the importance of each part and how it may relate to financial services.
